In our monthly blog segment “What’s Brewing at Bigger Brains,” I’m happy to introduce members of the Bigger Brains team of experts (and the coffees that they bring to the Teams meeting table). Today let’s meet Melanie Haeri!
What’s your role at Bigger Brains?
I help to get our content to every corner of the world by coordinating translations and captioning.
What’s your favorite thing about your job?
That it has allowed new skills to develop while I travel the world.
How do you prioritize your many responsibilities?
By not worrying. Worrying consumes tons of time that can be used in getting the tasks done, not to mention it takes away your peace.
How many languages do you speak?
I speak two languages, English and Spanish.
What language would you love to learn someday?
I would love to learn Italian!
How many pets do you have?
Well, technically seven. Five dogs and two cats, but right now I am only living with one.
Woah that’s a big family of pets! Speaking of family, what do you admire most about yours?
The lengths we will go for each other.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Watching a good show or movie! I learned English by watching TV, so it helps me with my vocabulary while I also enjoy a good story.
What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?
Finding and budling relationships with women who care for each other and build each other up.
What inspires you?
God’s creation. I love sitting and staring at the wind blowing the trees.
Do you have any hobbies?
I’m an ultimate frisbee player. I’ve been to one Panamerican games and was part of my unis team where we were 3-time regional champions and National sub champions.
What has been your most amazing experience?
One time I saw a unicorn!
