In our monthly blog segment “What’s Brewing at Bigger Brains,” I’m happy to introduce members of the Bigger Brains team of experts (and the coffees that they bring to the Teams meeting table). Today let’s meet Meg Reaves!
What’s your role at Bigger Brains?
I am the Production Coordinator at Bigger Brains, so I direct for our eLearning videos on filming days, and I am involved in the editing process, among other responsibilities.
What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?
For me, it’s something personal AND professional. I recently graduated from Converse College with a BMA in Contemporary Music and Media Applications. Over the past four years, I’ve had some of the best times of my life, and I am proud of myself for completing a degree in something I’m passionate about.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I listen to music and play music. Instruments I play include keyboard, electric bass, guitar, ukulele, cello, and voice. Needlework, like knitting and crocheting, is another passion of mine. And of course, spending time with good friends!
Do you have any pets?
Yes, a 2-year-old rescue pup named Phoebe Nyx. I’m becoming more of a dog mom every day and I love it! We’re working on obedience training, a struggle to say the least. I love her so much, and she’s been improving a lot!
Where’s somewhere you’d love to travel?
I would love to visit Sweden someday, it’s on my bucket list. In January 2020, I went on a study abroad trip to Ireland and going back there again would be a dream come true!
What’s your favorite line from a film or book?
“INCONCEIVABLE!” – The Princess Bride
“Anybody want a peanut?” – The Princess Bride
“LIAR!” – The Princess Bride
“It’s Levi-O-sa, not Levio-SA.” – Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
