In this course, PMP and Certified Technical Trainer, Christina Tankersley, will familiarize you with the basic tools and functions of Microsoft Project Professional 2016, so you can use it effectively and efficiently in your real-world environment.  A thorough project plan is vital to any project manager’s success. While it is tempting to quickly dive into tasks and assignments, carefully developing a plan is worth the effort. It will save you time and money in the end.

This course covers critical knowledge and skills a project manager needs to create a project plan during the planning phase of a project. If you are assigned to lead a project, this course will enable you to draft a project plan with Microsoft Project and share it with your supervisor (and others) for review and approval.   Microsoft Project has been around since 1984 and has become a staple in many project manager’s toolkits.

This course will show you how to navigate Microsoft Project 2016’s interface and create a new project plan. You’ll learn ways to use different views to display information on your screen. Using the 2016 version of MS Project, you’ll have all the tools you need to add and schedule tasks, create schedules, track progress, manage resources, and oversee budgets.
